Committed to Fast and Efficient Safety

Walter T. Vogel takes over as new CEO of the AEBI-SCHMIDT Group

Walter T. Vogel is taking over the leadership of the AEBI-SCHMIDT Group. This fifty-year old who is taking over the operational management of the new group is an experienced manager with proven results. Over the last four years as CEO, he repositioned the crisis-stricken Von Roll Holding AG in a difficult market environment and brought it back on to the road to success. AEBI Group and SCHMIDT Group merge

The shareholders of the AEBI Group and SCHMIDT Group have agreed to a company merger. The amalgamation will give rise to a powerful new consortium that will be able to enjoy sustained success on the world markets. The majority shareholder of the new consortium will be the Thurgau entrepreneur Peter Spuhler. The BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft company , formerly the majority shareholder in Schmidt, has a minority shareholding in the new entity.  more...

Putting it on the Rails

It was the SCHMIDT Group’s largest project of the year and since Saturday 2nd. December, it is back on the rails: the automotive HB 1200 S railway snow blower. From the end of March until shortly before delivery, employees from SCHMIDT and BEILHACK (which has been part of the SCHMIDT Group since July 2005) have been working hard to complete this order, which was to bring an over thirty-year-old Norwegian railway snow blower belonging to the Norwegian State Railway up to date technically.  more...

A Runway as a Catwalk

It was an imposing line-up driving out over the runway of the Black Forest Airport at Lahr. At its head was the large TJS 560 sweeper blower, followed by other sweeper blowers, then snow cutter blowers, spraying machines, large-surface mowing machines and sweepers for both land-side and air-side at airports. At the two-day SCHMIDT Inter-National Airport Event experts from all over the world were shown what modern equipment can accomplish at an airport.  more...
